Hello everyone, today, we are going to review Canon 70-200mm f/4L USM lens. This is my very first L lens. Yes, I said it, this is the “L” lens, and L means luxury. Canon advertises their L lens as for professionals, which causes many photographers like me to choose L lens over cheaper solutions like Tamron or Sigma. However, L lens is L lens, it is built like a tank and performs like a tank. This lens is composed with super fast autofocusing system, their famous USM, fluorite lens and super UD element creating sharp and crystal clear images. All of my wildlife photos are taken using this lens. Even at 200mm and cropped down, the image remains sharp and has little to no distortion.
This lens is a solid lens. Canon’s advertisement is not overrated like other companies do. I have not noticed the true value of L lens until I got hands on to my friend’s T5 since he needed some tips and guides to use DSLR. L lens is truly meant for professionals, I am always surprised by the quality of images that this lens produce. If you are professional on a budget or an amateur going towards professional field, this lens is must have. Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L USM or II USM is available but that is double to triple times more expensive than this one. If low light is not a huge part of your photography, this lens may suit you very well.
